Figure ID

Theme
Star Wars
Year Released
2011
Rarity
Uncommon; this figure appeared in only two sets during the peak of The Clone Wars run. While not exceptionally rare, it is the more detailed version compared to early classic variants.
Head
The head is two-part: a light flesh head with Saesee Tiin's distinct facial markings and a specialized rubberized headpiece/hair element representing the Iktotchi horns and crown, featuring reddish-brown and orange printing.
Torso
Dark brown Jedi robes with a tan undershirt. This version has light fleah hands and white arms, representing his unique Clone Wars era Jedi attire featuring forearm armor.
Legs
Standard plain black legs and hips. Unlike modern versions, these have no printing on the feet or knees.
Accessories
Includes one lightsaber with a metallic silver (flat silver) hilt and a trans-light blue blade. In the sets, he was also often accompanied by a green lightsaber or starship equipment.
Color Scheme
A mix of light flesh skin tones, dark brown and white for the outfit, and black for the lower body. The headpiece features warm earth tones (orange/brown).
Printing Details
High-quality pad printing on the face and torso. The headpiece printing is particularly notable for its alignment over the curved rubber texture of the horns.
Variants
Variants include sw0115 (classic yellow-head Jedi), sw0412 (Jedi Starfighter version with cape), and a version with more detailed leg printing in later years.
Condition Notes
Common wear points include the rubber headpiece which can attract dust or develop 'tackiness' if stored poorly. Arm cracks (at the pits) are common for white-arm figures of this era.
Estimated Value
$12.00 - $18.00 USD for a used complete figure; $25.00+ for new/mint condition.
Price (New)
Available in set 7915 ($19.99) and set 7964 ($99.99). The price-per-minifigure was standard for Licensed Star Wars sets of the time.
Compatible Sets
7915 Imperial V-wing Starfighter (2011); 7964 Republic Frigate (2011).
Character Background
Saesee Tiin was an Iktotchi Jedi Master and a member of the Jedi High Council. Known for his superior piloting skills and telepathic abilities, he served as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
Design Notes
This figure marked a transition piece between the 'stylized' Clone Wars eyes and the more realistic minifigure faces. The mold for the Iktotchi horns is a dedicated sculpt.
Similar Minifigures
Jedi Masters like Kit Fisto (sw0422), Plo Koon (sw0198), and Shaak Ti (sw0309) carry similar design aesthetics from the same sub-theme.
Collectibility
Strong collectibility for Jedi Council completionists. While mid-range in value, its appearance in the Republic Frigate set makes it a desirable piece of Clone Wars history.
History
First introduced in basic form in 2005, this 2011 version updated the character with flesh tones and higher-detail torso printing reflecting the animated TV series design.
Interesting Facts
Saesee Tiin is one of the few Jedi to appear with different colored lightsabers across sets (green and blue), reflecting changes in Star Wars lore and set playability needs.
Display Suggestions
Display alongside other Jedi Council members or inside a custom Hangar MOC next to a Jedi Starfighter. Use a transparent stand to mimic his high-agility combat style.
Modification Potential
The headpiece is removable and can be placed on other Jedi torsos to create a 'Jedi General' look using clone body armor parts (purist custom).
Overall Assessment
A solid 7/10 for collectors. It features a unique head mold that accurately captures the character's alien anatomy and remains an affordable way to add a Council member to a collection.
